# Soft Deleter Release Notes 5.5.x

## OVERVIEW

This release of the FYB Soft Deleter includes all fixes and enhancements that were shipped in the previous releases of the product. For details of the previous release, please refer to the relevant release notes.

## HOTFIX 5.5.9

### BUG FIX

#### LOG FILE LOCKED ON MULTIPLE SOFT DELETE ATTEMPTS

Issue has been resolved when bulk lots of soft deletes are attempted the log file will lock and prevent further deletions.

## HOTFIX 5.5.8

### BUG FIX

#### ACCES DENIED ERROR THROWN FOR VIEW METADATA

Soft Deleter will no longer throw a "Access Denied - you do not have the access control for View Metadata for this item" error if you are a knowledge worker attempting to soft delete a record.

## HOTFIX 5.5.7

### BUG FIX

#### CONTAINER CHECK BROKEN WITHIN CM 10.X

Soft Deleter will no longer throw a "method not found" error if using CM 10.x and Soft Deleter v5.x

## RELEASE 5.5.5

### NEW FEATURES

#### SUPPORT FOR OPEN ID ONLY ENVIRONMENTS

Support has been added for environments where Windows Authentication has been disabled within Content Manager, such as OpenText's CM Cloud Offerings.

#### CONTAINER CONTENTS RESTRICTION

A restriction can be enabled to prevent the soft deletion of folder records that have contents saved within. **This feature is only compatible with CM23.X and above**

#### INCOMPLETE ACTIONS ASSIGNED RESTICTION

A restriction can be enabled to prevent the soft deletion of records that have incomplete actions assigned on the record.

#### EVENT ADD-IN PREPEND TITLE

The Soft Deleter prepend title functionality has been added when utilizing the event add-in.

#### SPLASH SCREEN

The desktop add-in now contains a splash screen to indicate the add-in is starting up.

#### NOTIFICATION OF SOFT DELETED ITEMS

Authors and Creators of documents can now receive notifications when their document is soft deleted. These options can be enabled/disabled via the admin console.

### ENHANCEMENTS

#### NOTE INSERT STYLE

Soft Deleter will use the record type's note insert style to determined where to place the note on the record.

#### ADDITIONAL LOGGING

Additional information has been added into the debug logging of Soft Deleter for the transaction and error logs.

#### ADDITIONAL NOTES

More information about the soft deleted record is added into the notes.

#### SHOW / HIDE SETTINGS

To prevent confusion for mandatory settings, configurable settings will now show or hide settings if they are needed.

#### EXTERNAL LINK CREATION WITH MSI

The MSI will configure and install the external link into Content Manager.

### BUG FIXES

#### UNABLE TO DELETE WITH ACCESS CONTROLS SET PRIVATE OR CONTAINER

Records that have the access controls set to the container and have an additional location will no longer fail to soft delete.

### IMPORTING INVALID SETTINGS

Soft Deleter will no longer accept invalid settings for importing from a previous version.
